You know, a few days ago I found myself thinking "I kinda miss doing those fandom meme thingies". Lo and behold I check out my friends page and then totally swipe this from angel_gidget. (I am illiterate in the ways of linking via lj)

1. Tim Drake (Batman)
2. Wanda Maximoff (X-Men: Evolution)
3. Nico Minoru (Runaways)
4. Julian Keller (New X-Men)
5. Cessily Kincaid (New X-Men)
6. Cassandra Cain (Batman)
7. Jonothan Starsmore (Generation X)
8. Jamie Madrox (X-Factor)
9. Victor Mancha (Runaways)
10. Paige Guthrie (Generation X)

1. Divide the list up by even and odd. Which group of five would make a better Five Man Band (like a Power Rangers team)? Who would you slot in each position: Leader, Lancer (second-in-command), Big Guy, Smart Guy, The Chick? If you think the team would be improved by swapping one character between the even and odd groups, which ones would you switch?

Evens....
Leader: Paige Guthrie (she has the most experience
Lancer: Julian Keller (he has the experience but less of it than Paige)
Big Guy: Wanda Maximoff (by "big" I mean "huge weapon of mass destruction")
Smart Guy: Jamie Madrox (just don't ask him to make any decisions)
The Chick: Cassandra Cain (really though, she's not all that girly)

Odds...
Leader: Tim Drake (he's leader of the Teen Titans, the kid knows what he's doing)
Lancer: Nico Minoru (she's kinda sorta the leader of the Runaways)
Big Guy: Jonothan Starsmore (see Wanda above for definition of "big")
Smart Guy: Victor Mancha (he's a robot which means he literally has a computer for a brain)
The Chick: Cessily Kincaid (only one left)

2. Gender-swap 5, 8 & 10. Which character would have the most change in their story arc? Which the least? Would any of these characters have to have a complete personality change to be believable as the opposite sex?

So, gender-swapping Cessily, Jamie, and Paige...
I think if Paige was a guy it might've changed some of the dynamics in her family. I think Josh would've felt the same way about her if she had been a guy that he did about Sam instead of being closer to her. I doubt any of the characters above would've been in the relationships they were in since all of them and their love interests seem pretty heterosexual. Maybe Cessily wouldn't have been as optimistic as she was but I have nothing to really back that up. I don't think Jamie would've changed all that much. I think all his issues have more to do with his power and less to do with his gender identity.

3. Compare the matchups of 5 & 8 and 2 & 9. Which couple would be more compatible? Which couple would be more plausible to people from either principal's home culture?

That's Cessily/Jamie and Wanda/Victor. I can't really see either of these couples working. Cessily might get involved with one of Jamie's dupes because, as Rahne put it, "there's one in there for everyone" (or something to that effect) but I really don't see either of these things happening. Victor does seem to have a thing for goth girls but I think Wanda would break him.

4. Your team is 3, 4 & 6. The mission consists of a social challenge, a mental challenge and a physical challenge. Which team member do you assign to each challenge?

That's Nico, Julian, and Cass. If I wanted to actually make it challenging I'd have Cass get the mental, Nico the physical, and Julian the social.

5. 7 becomes 5's boss for a week in some plausible fashion. How's their working relationship?

That's Jono becoming Cessily's boss for a week. I think if Jono ever came back to the mansion he'd have a bit of seniority over Cess so I can't picture it too implausible that he'd be the boss. Cessily seems to have a secondary mutation that gives her the power to get along with pretty much anybody so I think their working relationship would be pretty good.

6. 1 finds him/her/itself inserted into 6's continuity. As far as anyone other than 1 or 6 is concerned, they've always been there. What role would 1 be presumed to have had in 6's story, and could they fit in without going wonky?

Lol, I didn't even plan it this way but Tim and Cass are already in each other's continuity and I think they've played a pretty sizeable role in each other's lives. Here's to still hoping that they eventually become romantically involved some time in the future.

7. 3 and 7 get three wishes. The catch is that they have to agree on all three wishes before they get the benefits of any of them. What three wishes would they make?

Nico, Jono, and 3 wishes . . . makes for an interesting party

1) None of their friends ever die
2) A tragedy-free relationship with the significant other of their heart's desire (which would be interesting to see who they choose)
3) [insert joke about shopping spree at Hot Topic here]

8. 6 and 3 are brainwashed by a one-time artifact that works even on people immune to mind control to attack and kill 1. They keep their normal personality, skills and competence level, except any Code vs. Killing has been turned off. Can 1 survive? How?

Thats...

Cass and Nico are brainwashed by a one-time artifact that works even on people immune to mind control to attack and kill Tim. They keep their normal personality, skills and competence level, except any Code vs. Killing has been turned off. Can Tim survive? How?

Pssh, if Cass really wants somebody dead and she has absolutely no conscience about it then they're gonna be dead with or without any help from somebody else. Sorry, Tim, but you kinda don't have much chance with this one. I suppose if the trauma of murder snaps them out of it then Cass has access to Lazarus Pits and Nico might possibly be able to find a resurrection spell.

9. 1, 6, 7 & 9 must help an orphanage full of small and depressed children have a merry Christmas. Who does what, knowing that at the very least the kids will be expecting a visit from Santa?

That's Tim, Cass, Jono, and Victor. Santa will be either Tim or Victor since Jono's new face is creepy and even if we go back in time he then wouldn't even have a face. Whoever's not Santa gets to pass out presents although Jono will probably be the grumpiest elf ever.

10. 3 and 10 are challenged to circumnavigate the Earth in eighty days or less, using only forms of transportation invented before 1900. Can they do it, or will they be fatally distracted by sidequests or their own personality conflicts?

That's Nico and Paige around the world in 80 days. They can probably do this. Surely Nico's Staff of One can conjure up some way to cheat the rules in case they get into trouble with deadlines. I definitely see personality clashes occurring but nothing big enough to stop them from getting the job done provided they have good motivation for doing this in the first place.

I know I'm totally, shamelessly commenting every now and then on your journal, but this cracked me up. Memes like this are awesome. :]
