Yeah, it's Thanksgivings

So yesterday on my way to my parents' house, my car broke down on the highway. It kicked itself out of cruise control and would not accelerate so I pulled it over. I thought perhaps it was a dead battery so I started walking the mile to the nearest exit to see if the people at the gas station would help. When I made it to the exit, this guy in a pickup pulled over and offered to help. At this point, I had also locked my keys in my car like a dumbass so I thought "Why the hell not? At this point it can't get worse". Greg (the guy in the pickup) was pretty cool. He took a coat-hanger and used it to get the lock open and then we checked out my car. It was worse than I thought. The timing belt jumped off the track somehow and that's why it wouldn't start. Fortunately, Greg had an uncle Robert who was a mechanic so he gave him a call and Robert came out to tow my car. It was about that time that my dad showed up so my dad talked with Robert and Greg. Since nothing is open today because it's Thanksgiving, Robert said he'd have to keep the car until Friday and hopefully he could get the belt replaced. So yeah, I entrusted my car (which is still technically my parents' car) to a complete stranger with a legit-looking tow truck who I had never met before in my entire life.

Oh yeah, did I mention that Greg was kind of a cocaine addict? Yeah, he may or may not have also been a pimp as well. At the very least he knew way more about prostitutes in this area than any normal person has a right to know. So yeah, happy Thanksgiving everyone. I will be very thankful to get my car back in one piece.

Yeah, I've actually mellowed out about it since last night. I mean at this point there's not that much I can do except wait until tomorrow when (hopefully) the car gets fixed.
