thelostmaximoff1. Because it's been a topic of discussion between myself and Kam slpwlkngdreamer, the person who really brought her to being: what is it about Ellie Ridley that makes you write her as much as you do?
A lot of times I just click with certain characters. I like the idea that her isolation is a survival tactic instead of a conscious choice. I also like the idea that she has an incredible amount of power but it's crippling her development as a person. She can do all these wonderful/terrible things with her power but she's still a human being and still has this desire for genuine acceptance and love. Lots of fun things I can play around with.
2. Why 'thelostmaximoff'?
When I first started posting on ff.net my main focus was the Maximoff twins (particularly Wanda). I suppose it's slightly egotistical but I believe that I know them so well they're like family so hence the name. I considered changing it when I started branching out but I decided (again slightly egocentric) that I had already built up a reputation with that name and it would be a pain in the ass to create some new identity and start from scratch.
3. How's the weather on your end of the world? How does it make you feel?
For January it's actually pretty warm. I dunno, it feels kind of weird and even though I like it when it's 60 or so it feels out of place considering the time of the year.
4. Who said that quote and why did you post it here?
It's from an episode of Veronica Mars, first season though I'm blanking on which episode. I've been rewatching it on dvd and it was the first of Veronica's many awesome lines that popped into my head at the time.
5. What's the one thing about you that I should probably know?
You're a great writer. I don't think I've taken the time to say that before but it's true.
